'Tis The Season (Every Season 'Tis The Season)

Curator's Note:

Ali Threet and I were recently asked to lead a generosity and gratitude workshop for the University of Idaho - Boise Center. We had a wonderful time and even though it was for a specific U of I audience, I thought you might find it enjoyable and useful, especially during this time of year.  In reality, both gratitude and generosity are ongoing practices that have deep and long-lasting benefits.

This was a U of I workshop, presented via Zoom.  The video here is made available courtesy of the University of Idaho.  Please click the button to access the video.

My co-presenter - this was our very first time to work together - is Ali Threet.  I'll share her bio below, but I'll just say that she is wonderful to work with.  She is the Executive Director of Career Services at Dixie State University in St. George, UT and, it was so interesting to learn, trains and competes in the American Ninja Warrior.  She is multi-talented, but for me the best part is that she is also one of our University of Idaho doctoral students, so I get to work with her.  Her research interests - isn't this cool - include generosity and cultivating generosity in youth.  I think you will find her to be an enthusiastic and engaging presenter, and very knowledgeable about our workshop topic.

In reality, both gratitude and generosity are ongoing practices that have deep and long-lasting benefits.

Most of all, she is crazy about her brood. She smiles more when she’s with them. Laughs more. Enjoys more. Relaxes more. Has more fun. She just loves her family.
