Poems:

What Does It Take To Sell Your Soul?
I Left The Gate Open
And The Mountains Will Be Barren (Lyrics)

From Impspired Magazine, Volume Two

I don't know how profound any poetry I may have written or write might be, but throughout history artists - writers, painters, playrights, musicians, and on and on - have been the voices which question the status quo. I wrote these months and years ago, but they might still be relevant today.

These are the second set of poems I’ve had in a book, and many folks may have seen them before because they were first published on one of my blogs.

Still, it’s always wonderful to be published in the same book as one of my favorite authors and poets, Christine Valters Paintner.

These aren’t poems about snow and nature, per se, and aren’t very sweet but are more in the lament category, especially the poem about the mountains being barren. So if you don’t like that kind of stuff you may want to skip them.

These are interesting times aren’t they?

This is the second set of three poems I've had published by Impspired Magazine.  The first three, I Stepped Outside Myself ; Time Misspent Lament: and A Frozen Tableau, are very different in feel than these new three.

These new poems, originally published here in Profound Living or our sister blog, The Profound Bartender, were also published in Impspired Magazine last year, and now are out in book form in Impspired Magazine, Volume Two.

You can read these three poems in the magazine, here.

If “expensive” were one of the principal attributes of what it means to be elegant then most of the world could never experience elegance. But anyone can, it turns out.

Messy Elegance is a process, not a thing and how a workshop started this whole messy elegance idea

This is often quiet work. The work that rarely makes headlines.

Earth Day is this week. As we consider the state of our world - and the ecology of both our material and spiritual environment - it makes sense to ask what our role is, has been, and is supposed to be in relationship to "our common home" (Pope Francis).

Here are some initial thoughts about elegance, nature, and depth; a poem about happiness; and even a haiku.
