Texas Bluebonnets - Part II
"On a spiritual level, of course, it is the death and resurrection of Jesus that fulfills the promise of eternal life as does the rebirth of each spring." ~Marc Christensen"
Note from the PL Curator: A couple of weeks ago we published Marc's beautiful, beautiful photo of a horse in a field of Texas blue bonnets. The pictures are so wonderful and remind me so much of farms in Kansas, maybe with sunflowers instead of blue bonnets, but with the old John Deere or Massey-Ferguson rusting away. Or of that old barn that might be falling apart or might last another fifty years. Or of spring's bare trees, not yet ready to return to their fine greenery, but surrounded a'ready with Mother Nature's array of blue.
That I needed to share these with you as well.
Here was the intro for the first post:
There are so many ways to talk about renewal, rebirth, and, even more profoundly, death and resurrection. There are a few talented people, like Marc, who can not only speak eloquently about this but can also show us this through his lens. Here he has done both.
And here are three more photos of Texas Blue Bonnets, taken and now generously shared by Marc Christensen.
Texas Bluebonnets

Blue bonnets are, in Texas,
the iconic symbol of spring, which, for me is rebirth and renewal. On a
spiritual level, of course, it is the death and resurrection of Jesus that
fulfills the promise of eternal life as does the rebirth of each spring.
